Piece of junk... it won't last and it may be dangerous.
I bought this rear brake light switch to replace the OEM switch that was leaking brake fluid which caused a bad short circuit on my Dyna Super Glide. I bought this *new* switch to replace the OEM switch, and after installing it, I actuated the rear brake pedal a few times with different levels of pressure. The switch started leaking fluid through the electrical connectors. If a switch leaks from the beginning when new, chances are it may fail causing a catastrophic lose of braking force. I am returning it and requesting a replacement. This switch is made in China, which is making me having afterthoughts about using this type of cheap product considering this may cause a serious safety issue. I'll update after trying the replacement switch.Update: I couldn't use the replacement switch either. I am returning it after getting an OEM switch from the H-D dealership. It costs more than twice the price of this cheap one, but I won't risk losing my brakes due to a cheaply made part. It is a critical component.

DONT BUY!!
Considering that this only cost me 18 bucks, and the review said that it busts open, or breaks, and leaks I should have just stayed away. I don’t know why I tried to save myself the money when the OEM part from Harley only cost $25. Got this in the mail last week put it on the bike, it was really hard to screw in first off, which made me concerned. And then the moment I applied any pressure to the brake it popped and Fluid started pouring out everywhere. If you look at the first picture the difference between the Harley part and this part is they actually seal the base where the connection is. So you don’t end up losing fluid every single time you try to apply pressure. This is a garbage part, and honestly you’re not saving that much money, if you have a Harley dealership near you just walk in and tell them what kind of bike it is, and have them give you the switch it’s a super easy install that you can look up on YouTube, so you don’t need Harley to do it for you. However buy the part from Harley and save yourself a headache and time. If I could give this zero stars for basically stealing my money I would.
