The Berenstain Bears Visit the Dentist (First Time Books(R))

This book was nice as it touches on fears kids can have with the dentist and shows them a nice Dentist, the type of equipment one sees in a dental office (chair, mirror, squirter, etc) and what happens if one gets a cavity. Reading this a couple times to my toddlers helped them feel like they knew what they were stepping into. This was one of the books actually suggested by our pediatric dentist. (Going to a pediatric dentist office helped a lot, too, since they are very calm and patient with young kids!)

I bought for my 6 year old neighbor. She was going to have 2 baby teeth extracted. Although she had been to the dentist before, never for a tooth pulling. Her mom read the book with her and told me Ella was comforted by the story, and referred to the book on the day of. Highly recommend this for dental visits with children.

I purchased this for my Autism son! He absolutely loves it! It helps him learn some real life morals and vaules on his level!

This is the same book I loved growing up but the pages are terribly thin. I would prefer to have thicker pages, and no stickers, so that the book will hold up to the love a 2 year old will show it. I purchased this for my son to try to get him used to the idea of a dentist before we went for the first time...I changed the words when Brother mentioned tooth yanking...no need to make a poor child terrified about tooth pulling. ;)

Good Book, my daughter made me buy every one for her and she reads them to me before bed. The lessons in these books should be mandatory reading for adults when they turn 21, it would make the world a more friendly place.

My children love The Bernstein Bear books. I ordered this one to prep my child for her first visit to the dentist. Before the book talks about going to the dentist there are a few pages talking about the tooth fairy. If you do that, then you won't have any issue with the book. We don't do the tooth fairy though. I wish it had said that in the description. The pictures are also awkward, not the same quality as older BB books.

I purchased this book to start preparing my son for his first visit to the dentist. It's a cute book, but I was hoping it would spend more time focusing on what happens during the initial visit.

We really like these books. The stories are nice and there is something for my daughter to take away from each of them. The pictures are nice and there are plenty of things for her to point out or for me to ask her to find on the pages. Really engaging and recommended.

I had this book as a child and wanted to purchase for my 2 year old son. I am a dental hygienist and I love how it shows some of our tools that we use to introduce them to the readers. The illustration is vibrant and catches my sons attention. Bonus is that these books now come with fun book themed stickers!

Too scary! I wanted a book to read to my son to help him feel confident and relaxed about his upcoming first trip to the dentist! Although the story ends well, brother bear makes sister bear so nervous that the dentist is going to pull out her tooth that she’s petrified to go! When I started to read this book to my son, I had to change the words! Won’t be reading again!

This colorful and engaging story gently introduces young children to their first dentist visit and helps alleviate fears of the dentist. Brother and Sister Bear are realistic and fun characters that are easy for children to identify with.

Very detailed description of the dentist experience, including getting cavities fixed. Was very helpful.
