Good quality, educational, but fun kit.
Bought this kit for my grandson (nearly three), as 'lockdown' present. He is thrilled with it. It is sturdy enough, but light enough for little people. All of the items are of good quality and the compass is particularly good. The only negative was that the whistle doesn't really work... but that may be a bonus! The whistle also has a little compass on the side, so that makes it a little bit special. Lovely bag to store everything too. Really pleased that this is a gift that will be enjoyed over a long time and not just played with for a couple of days!

Good set for little explorers.
This explorer kit was actually bought as a gift for another little 6yr old but of course it got tested by my 5yr old.The binoculars seem fine - not very powerful of course but perfect for kids.Magnifying glass works, as do the compass and the whistle!Tweezers are a good size for smaller hands.Only issue is the little bag that comes with it. I can see the value of it being water resistant but it’s made of very ‘noisy’ fabric and the draw string which doubles as shoulder straps are thin - so not to be used with a heavier load as it’ll hurt little shoulders. I actually sewed a new drawstring bag and it made a perfect little gift.

Fabulous for imaginative play
Bought this for my 4 year old Grandson - both he and his (almost) 3 year old sister loved it. We went for a walk in the forest, and they thoroughly enjoyed using the magnifying glass to inspect insects, the binoculars to "watch out for dinosaurs" and the other instruments were also put to good use! Sturdy, ideal for small hands, the drawstring backpack was a little on the large side, meaning it hung around their ankles but otherwise, a great addition to their "use your imagination" toybox.

Not worth the Money
Great idea but poor quality. We bought 2 for our boys. One pair of binoculars wouldn't adjust to size, then broke, the plastic tweezers were to rigid to use correctly. The compass 'sort of' works. One torch broke during the first use and would only light up then go instantly off. No point returning etc with all this covid crap going on, it's really hard to get to a drop off point where you're not in a non socially distanced que of 20+people. 3 days after Xmas, it was mostly in the bin.

Disappointing
A nice little set but torch didn’t work. Contacted seller who were going to refund £3. Cost me £4 to get alternative elsewhere as it was a present. Contacted supplier several times by email. No refund given. In the end cost me far more than I would have paid for it so would not recommend.

Not good quality!
This was so disappointing! The magnifying glass looked used with handprints and scratches. The string on the binoculars broke immediately and the compass on the whistle fell off, all without my son even playing with it. He was so excited for it to come, huge disappointment!

Great Fun for Kids
My nephew and niece like it so much~~Yesterday we went to a National Trust Park, and they just can't stop using this explorer kit to discover the garden, even now, they are still playing with it in our own garden. Its really great fun for those kids who like the outdoor world, especially in good weather to watch ants moving around.

Great kit for young child
Got it for sale for £11 . I think it was a good deal. Binoculars are decent for a child under 10 years and kit is really nice in general. Torch is really good as it's hand operated and does not need batteries.Compass works well and can't fault anything.
