Don't let the venting fool you—the first time I took this umbrella out it immediately blew inside out. While the deploy/retract mechanism feels sturdy, after less than a year (and many, many times flipping the umbrella back to the correct orientation), the spokes have bent and cracked. I really wouldn't recommend this for anything other than a light drizzle. The reflectivity is nice for visibility, but that's about all I can say for it.

It's a wonderful umbrella. Looks good (grey), big enough (42" is larger than 38", obviously), very well made. Don't know how long before it breaks in the wind but for now i'm happy and will buy another one.Folded in case, it's not small, OK for a car but not for a purse. * The only thing i don't like is that it's not easy to put it back into the nylon sleeve (or in the case without the sleeve) but i made my own and problem is solved, for me anyway.

Nice package and looks good. However, after using a few times, the open-shut button got stuck, so hard that it has become really hard to open the umbrella completely. After opening, it is now really hard to close.A cheap product without much quality control. Lucky if it keeps working fine.

Nice case included. Works like an umbrella should. Longevity unknown at this point but seems pretty well made. So assuming I don't forget and leave it somewhere, it should last a long time. It does seem about an inch or two longer than a Pro Storm model I also purchased, so not ideal if trying to keep it in the umbrella storage in your car door panel, but it is an couple of inches larger in diameter when open, so I guess that's a normal trade off.

Nice sunflower design to chase away the rain or compete with the sun…but single layer and without vent pockets for windy days

I had this umbrella and earlier this year, I lost it. I hope whoever took it is enjoying as much as I did. I was so glad to see this umbrella on line here and couldn’t order fast enough. I love everything about it. It’s compact, has a very useful sleeve, fits in my driver’s side door cubby, great size and has a very happy design which bodes well on a rainy day. I sure hope I don’t lose it again.

True to colour, sturdy with a good opening mechanism. A bit larger than I would like when folded but nice and big when open. Good value for money
