Q: Whats the accuracy @ 100 feet? Someone said .005. @ 300 feet. Thats 5/1000 of an inch at 300 feet and I know thats not correct.

Tapcon claims an accuracy of + or - 10 arc seconds. This is about .005 of a degree. That gives an error of about 1/10 of and inch at 100 feet. This claimed level of accuracy is consistent with my experience.

Ours came with a hard case that looks like the one in the photo

Yes, it includes the receiver but you must have or purchase the measuring rod separately.
