So durable
Love this rice measurement cup. We used to have the plastic ones that come with a rice cooker but over time it’s deteriorated. It’s actually thick there’s no dent or anything. We have this over almost a year already so I’d say the quality is pretty great. 10/10 would recommend!!

Plastic free rice measuring cup
I recently bought a stainless steel rice cooker so I bought this just to match along with it. It has a nice clean look to it, it is easy to clean and the quality seems to be good!At first I thought the size of it was smaller compared to the traditional plastic ones however its capacity for rice is actually bigger. Took a little bit of a learning curve to get the right amount of rice to cook but functionally it works great.I would recommend this if you want a plastic free option for your rice.

Practical, durable, and affordable
I also found myself needing a replacement for my Zojirushi measuring cup. While I could estimate using about 6 ounces or 3/4 cup (a masu in Japanese terms), I really value the convenience of having a dedicated cup and using the pot’s built-in measurements. This stainless steel alternative is a fantastic upgrade—it’s much more durable than the original plastic cup, unlikely to be accidentally thrown away, and costs half as much as the branded version. Practical, durable, and affordable!

Worth it
Started out with plastic cups that came with rice cookers, but lost one (see below) and wanted a replacement. Got this for only a slightly higher price and generally trying to minimize plastic. It's remarkably better than the plastic cups I'd used for years in a few different ways.- The relative weight and rigidity is nicer to handle when scooping rice. Cup doesn't flex with pressure and just feels more secure & balanced. Digs in satisfyingly and I'm guessing spills a little less on the way up.- Likewise feels more solid while leveling excess rice at the top.- It "taps" well, whether to level partially-filled rice or to empty contents fully.- I find fewer grains left sticking to the steel than plastic.- The non-translucent color and again weightiness makes it easy to see and not accidentally lose. I lost the previous plastic cup by leaving it in an empty rice bag which I disposed in the trash. I wouldn't expect the solid steel cup to slip by like that. It's also easier to locate the stainless cup in a big pile/sack of rice.- It's fairly easy to read and measure partial volumes. Translucent plastic cups are better for lining things up visually, but then again my old plastic cup is scratchy enough that it's not very much better. The stainless cup's markings are slightly more readable anyway.- Easy in the dishwasher.I only worry about accidentally dropping or crushing it out of shape. So far it has held up after a couple of normal drops in the kitchen (benchtop to vinyl floor). It's not fragile, it seems tough enough to take harsher treatment, but I wouldn't want to test its limits.

Just right for rice cookers.
I would have given this measuring cup five stars but for the fact that it came with a small dent in it. Not something that warrants a return or refund but something that is irritating since this is a new item. The measuring cup itself appears to be well made and measures just the right amount of rice for my rice cooker. All in all a good product but for the small dent.

What you see is what you get.
This came exactly as described. It is slightly smaller than my original clear plastic cup. I really like that there are measuring lines on the inside to mark the half way point. This will live in the canister with the rice and I have no fear that the markings will get scratched out. Worth the money. Very happy.

Rice cups are 6 ounces not 8 (who knew?)
Had this for a few months. Don't like to rate anything unless I have had some time using it.I'm half Japanese and I remember my mom having a similar cup to measure out our rice when I was growing up in Hawaii.Who knew, a cup of raw rice is measured in 6 ounces not 8 ounces? So if you lost the rice cup that came with your rice cooker and you've wondered why your rice has been so dry lately, it's because your using an 8 ounce cup to measure a cup of rice when you should be using a 6 ounce cup to measure a cup of rice. The nice thing about using this cup is that you just scoop the rice and then shake it a bit until the rice is level with the top of the cup. Otherwise if you use a regular cup (8 ounces), you would have to dump out some rice then level the cup, check to see if you got 6 ounces, then either dump or add rice, then repeat until you have 6 ounces.
