I’ve been using the Ecovacs cleaning robot for over three months now, and I have to say—it’s a great product. It’s been incredibly helpful in keeping my floors clean with minimal effort on my part. The suction is strong, the navigation is smart, and it rarely gets stuck or confused.What I appreciate most is how much time it saves me. It’s become a reliable part of my cleaning routine, and the app integration makes it easy to schedule or start a clean even when I’m not home.

This product performs well for both vacuuming and mopping. However, it does miss some corners, so we decided to do a manual mop once a week and use the Ecovacs Y1 Pro for the other weekly cleaning.Battery & Charging:On strong suction mode, the battery lasts for about 35% of the cleaning time needed to cover my entire home (approximately 800 sq. ft. carpet area). The recharge time is on the longer side, but since I always keep the dock station powered on, it’s not an issue for me.App & Usability:The mobile app is user-friendly and easy to operate. No issues with connectivity or controlling the device remotely.Performance & Value:All the features and functions work as expected. I purchased this product for ₹21,500, but during bank offers or festive sales, you can get it for as low as ₹18,000–₹19,000.Before buying, I checked with the brand, and they mentioned the battery life is expected to last between 3 to 5 years depending on usage. Considering that hiring a maid costs at least ₹2,000 per month in my city for cleaning twice a week, this device seemed like a smart investment. I figured I could just pay EMI instead of a maid and still have the device last for a few years.Maintenance Tips:I empty the dustbin and clean the sensors every 2 days to ensure optimal performance.After mopping, I always empty the water tank to avoid any leakage.Accessories can be bought from both the brand and third-party sellers. Personally, I find the quality to be similar.Warranty:An extended warranty is available from the brand, but I found it too expensive, so I chose not to go for it.Final Thoughts:Overall, I’m happy with the purchase. While it does the job, it doesn’t follow a zig-zag pattern, which means it can miss some spots or require additional passes to get the floor thoroughly cleaned. One thing I find a bit inconvenient is that, in the mobile app, we can select either dusting or mopping individually, but if we choose dusting only, we need to manually remove the mopping plate before the vacuuming session.
