Yes, the instructions are so poorly written...it was only thanks to another Amazon reviewer that I figured out you have to FOLD the panels UP when installing the screws.....I almost mailed it back because I could not get the screws in for the longest time!Like many reviewers, I had no need for the dangling arm, but the three plant paddles are perfect for small plants, like miniature roses, that I am growing in the bathroom. The tension mounted rod is good, too, and for my short distance I just discarded the long center rod....which meant I had to add little bits of paper to the top of the rod to make it flush with the other rod....but it all worked out....so it's about 37" long for me, which was all I needed for such a short window....I really love having fresh oxygen from plants in my bathroom....it is such an oasis, I really recommend putting fresh plants in your bathroom, and throughout the house (and for Pete's sake, if you have a yard, consider planting trees that grow tall, not just crepe myrtals and piddly ornamental trees.....the birds around here are losing all their habitat, and I'm sure they are wherever you are too! )

This is a basic, but well-designed unit that does everything I need it to (put a few plants near the window with minimal space). I took off a star because it should come with acorn nuts to cover the end of the screws that secure the plant shelf and hook mounts to the pole, and because I would like more/better finish options, even if they are just simulated (i.e., plastic that looks like bronze, stainless, brushed nickel, etc.). It's sturdy for the price, and in terms of functionally, it's 5 stars, but the lack of acorn nuts to cover the end of the bolts and the lack of better looking finish/brackets make this a still very solid 4 star product. (For the acorn nuts, I had to use four of my own treasured M6 Stainless acorn nuts). Also, despite what some of the other reviews say, the directions are more than clear enough , and it's not hard to figure out how it goes together without directions, just make sure you have the pole with the hook mounts on it oriented properly. I put mine up quickly and had this part of the pole upside down initially, so I had to uninstall the pole and reverse this section. But the directions are fine, so maybe they were cryptic before and the seller redid the directions, idk. Great value for the price, so if you're ok with the simple look, or you have a plan to jazz up the pole and cover the brackets with real or artificial vines (which I'll probably do), you'll be very happy with this.

This plant pole is perfect and just what I wanted! It is easy to assemble and adjusted to my window with ease - just had to remove one section and it adjusted perfectly. Highly recommend. I am buying another!

Super easy to assemble. I think it took me longer to open the box and remove all the pieces than it did to actually put together. Make sure to have the shelves in the opposition when trying to adjust them on the bar. Otherwise you won’t be able to move them up and down. I got that from another review and that was extremely helpful. I’m extremely satisfied with my purchase, and may be purchasing a second in the near future.

So far it has stayed in place and no shelves have fallen. It holds my plants near the window, and theoretically I could adjust them if I wanted (I haven’t tried since I put it up). It was a little difficult to get in place by myself, but once I did it seemed pretty stable. I was frustrated though, because I intended this to go behind my blinds and onto the window ledge, but the top of the rod is *just* too big and I would have had to remove the blinds for it to fit in the actual window. I wound up mounting it between the ceiling and my desk, which works, until I have to move my desk for anything…

I failed to measure my space I wanted to put this pole, so I had to change my plans. Other than my own mistake I love this. I placed this in my bathroom so it gets plenty of moister daily, it holds 1 hanging plant and three other plants. It has remained stable it looks great with the plants on it.

Functions well but had to basically jam the pieces together. Appears to be made poorly.

OMG!! I loved it. Its exactly what I was looking for!!! My bed has a really tight space to the wall, so I was thinking of using as a night/shelf stand for my clock , phone. It was perfect. The only problem was I didnt measured the height from the ceiling to the floor before I purchased so it was too short. Lol. So I bought the longer one and let's hope that will fit. I will send an UPDATE once I get it. BTW I will use the short one for window plants. Hope it will hold the plants. It is not too big but it's great for small vases. Lol. MEASURE BEFORE PURCHASE. Ha.
